Last month on Thursday, November 8th, I stood in my kitchen surrounded by moving boxes, checking and double checking our moving list. We were moving just across town, but the details! Suddenly, I realized that night was the reception for the Pleasanton Art League (PAL) Show in the Harrington Gallery located inside the Firehouse Arts Center. I clean forgot! Exhausted, I decided to forego the event–I had already packed all my decent clothing. Now, I regret not going!
I won an award! It is an Honorable Mention, but that is saying a lot with that crew of experienced and accomplished artists. I wish I had been there to receive it!
Now the ribbon hangs on my bulletin board in my new studio. The show is still on, until December 18th. My picture is towards the back of the exhibit; so you can take in everyone else’s work before you reach my “Iceberg”.
